In 2022 CNS created a portal providing a compendium of CNS expert analysis and commentary on the war with a particular focus on its nuclear ramifications.

Dr. Siegfried Hecker Appointed as Distinguished Professor of Practice

CNS Director Bill Potter expressed his delight at the appointment and indicated that he could not think of anyone more committed than Sig to the CNS mission of training the next generation of nonproliferation specialists at home and abroad.

Dr. Allison Berke joins CNS as CBW Nonproliferation Program Director

Dr. Berke’s research interests include computationally-focused methods for detecting and monitoring disease outbreaks and novel pathogens; the cybersecurity of biological and medical information; and the implications of synthetic biology for deterrence and nonproliferation.

The CNS office in Washington, DC has launched a new website focused on export control compliance topics

CNS in DC has developed guidance for several emerging technology sectors on how to best ensure compliance with export controls and nonproliferation aims more broadly.
